Winnipeg Jets
This panorama captures the opening faceoff of the historic game between the Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens held on October 9, 2011, at MTS Centre. The inaugural game marked the regular season debut of the Winnipeg Jets and their return to the NHL after a 15-year hiatus. On May 31, 2011, it was announced that True North Sports and Entertainment Limited would relocate an NHL franchise to Winnipeg for the 2011-12 season. Within minutes of making season tickets available to the public, the team reached its 13,000 seat target. At the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, True North Chairman, Mark Chipman, announced the team name would be called the Winnipeg Jets. The new logos pay homage to the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Welcome back to the big time, Winnipeg! The dream became reality, and the Jets have returned. While the final score was a disappointment, the day became a city-wide party that didn't end until the wee hours of the morning, and the fans at the Nationwide Arena stood and cheered every moment. With this panorama, you get it all as the opening puck is about to be dropped: the fans in the stands, the scoreboard, the arena details, and the action on the ice below. Printed in brilliant color and perfect focus on high-quality print stock, and complete with a sharp white border that includes the official team logo, the commemorative title, and a brief descriptive paragraph, this panorama is both a beauty for the wall, and a great collector's item for years to come. Perfect for the wall of home, office, locker room, bar or restaurant!
