Artist Datian He was born in China, but emigrated to the United States, and has made his mark as an official artist of the U.S. Olympic Committee. This is perhaps his finest work of Olympic art to date, featuring the flags of the world growing as leaves on trees above the Great Wall, and a horseman representing all athletes riding high amongst the nations during the 2008 Summer Games. The nations appearing are diverse and numerous, and include: Canada, USA, China, South Korea, Greece, Brazil, Great Britain, Mexico, Israel, Turkey, Lebanon, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Liberia, Albania, Finland, Switzerland, Australia, and more! As an added detail, he has included the host nations' flags of the eight of the most recent and future games along the bottom (Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Torino 2006, Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Sochi 2014).
