Gale Sayers "Good Night" (1970) - Photofile Inc.
![]() |
Welcome to NFL football in the 1970s! This
classic beauty features a Hall of Fame superstar ushering in a new decade
of regular-season action, as the great Gale Sayers bursts through scrimmage
in the opening game of the 1970 season, a rare Saturday night opener at
Yankee Stadium as the Bears visit the New York Giants. While it was a good
night for the Bears with a 24-16 victory, it was also "good night" for
Sayers career - the intense rehab that made this classic juke move possible
proved to be for naught, and his wonky knee broke down again the following
week. He would play only three more games over the next two seasons after
this one, leaving fans with only great memories and thoughts of what might
have been.
This beautiful poster, published exclusively for SportsPosterWarehouse.com, brings back those memories of Sayers with a vintage classic from deep in the archives. Printed directly from the original photographic source, and complete with official serialized NFL Properties hologram, this is both a spectacular print, and a valuable collector's item for years to come!
