Last Game at the Field House March 3, 2002 A panoramic view in College Park, MD - The Rob Arra Collection It was a wild 47-year ride at venerable Cole Field House...but who would have known that the final year would be the best! This incredible panoramic poster commemorates the final Maryland Terrapins game at the old barn - a game that capped a perfect home season with a 112-92 rout of Virginia, and catapulted them on to the NCAA tournament, the Final Four, and the 2002 National Championship! An over-stuffed house was packed with students, fans, and notable alumni, including Buck Williams, Boomer Esiason, Len Elmore, Tom McMillen and Jim O'Brien, and after the game, an emotional ceremony concluded with a team-shared cutting of the net.
This beautiful print, from Rob Arra's Everlasting Images collection, features all that is Cole , and as you pan across the image, you feel like you are actually there, with 14,000+ Maryland faithful, at the historic event. From the arched tin roof, to the banners hanging from the rafters, to the scoreboards and advertisements on each end, to the cheerleaders, marching band, and sideline entourages, to the players in action on court, it's all here, in perfect focus, ready to take its rightful place on the wall of any true Terps fan! A stunning poster and historic collector's item, worthy of a nice frame and a prominent spot at home or office. Note: this item is now out-of-print. Limited quantity remains in stock. All remaining stock has slight water damage on left part of white border. Only noticeable on close inspection, and would likely be invisible if framed. Damage does not touch picture itself.
