Lance Alworth "Chargers Classic" (c.1965) - Photofile Inc.
Before Broadway Joe came around, there was one true superstar in the AFL - a slick, smooth Wideout called "Bambi" who spurned the NFL and never looked back! From the moment he joined the San Diego Chargers in 1962, Lance Alworth was the best offensive player in the upstart league, earning all-AFL honors every year from 1963 to1969, and averaging over 100 receiving yards per game for three consecutive seasons (1964 through 1966). He is an Arkansas Razorbacks Hall of Famer, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, an AFL Champion (1963), a Super Bowl Champion (Super Bowl VI with the Dallas Cowboys), and is still fondly remembered as one of the most beloved athletes in San Diego sports history!

This poster, a SportsPosterWarehouse.com exclusive, brings you back to the glory days of football in San Diego, when the uniforms were shockingly beautiful and the teams were consistently excellent. It is the perfect image of the superstar on gameday - lining up wide right, exploding past scrimmage at the snap, and preparing to snare yet another long pass to take into the end zone. Harkening back to the good 'ole days of sports posters, this beauty is unspoiled by distracting graphics or silly titles - just sharp, colorful vintage action! Printed from the original photographic negative, and complete with official NFL Properties serialized hologram, this is both a stunning piece for any fan, and a valuable collector's item for years to come. A rare, unique item, the perfect addition to your sports wall-of-fame!
