1967 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 6 - Montreal Canadiens at Toronto Maple Leafs, May 2, 1967, Maple Leaf Gardens: A 3-1 victory over the hated Habs caps off the eighth Stanley Cup title for Red Kelly, and the 13th championship for the Leafs. For long-suffering Toronto hockey fans, this is the scene you've been dreaming about for decades! 1978 Stanley Cup Quarter-Final Game 7, April 29, 1978, Maple Leafs at New York Islanders, Nassau Coliseum: In the game that gave a generation of Leafs fans hope for a Stanley Cup future, Lanny McDonald shocked the nation with his Overtime blast that sent Toronto into ecstacy, and a semi-final matchup against the hated Canadiens. With a roster that included Tiger Williams, Darryl Sittler, Mike Palmateer, Ian Turnbull, and other greats of the '70s against the soon-to-be-dynastic Isles, this is a true time capsule from an optimistic era in Leafs history.
