They were the perrenial doormats of the National League throughout much of the 1970s and 1980s - as late as 1990 they finished in the cellar (see "From Last to First" - Braves 1991). But after developing great young talent, the Braves became perennial National League champions, and in 1995, they struck gold: World Series Champions, after dominating the Cleveland Indians in the fall classic.
