"Big Daddy" was a top hitting prospect for the Toronto Blue Jays who was stuck behind Fred McGriff on the depth chart. After struggling for playing time, Cecil went to Japan in 1989 and tore up the league. He signed with the Detroit Tigers for the 1990 season, and the rest is history - 51 HR's that first year, and a great career since.

This is Cecil Fielder's first Starline poster, and it's a nice one. The powerful swing, generated from his bulging biceps, are fully aparent. The ball was probably headed far over the left-field fence when photographer Tom DiPace snapped this shot.
