When this poster was made, the Quebec Nordiques were still doormats of the NHL. It was not until the 1994-95 season that they put it together and made the playoffs - and after they lost in the opening round to the New York Rangers, they became the Colorado Avalanche.

The great thing about this poster is that it features three great NHL players of the 1990s - including two of the top centers in the world today. Ron Hextall, like him or not, was one of the top goaltenders of the past decade. Joe Sakic, along with Peter Forsberg, makes the Avalanche a perennial top-five team. Mats Sundin is the franchise in Toronto, and was the MVP of Sweden's 1998 World Championship team.

This poster has a real classic look to it. It is part of the short-lived "Team Leaders" series that Starline quickly scuttled after one year. The appearance of three hockey greats on one poster, in the uniform of a now-defunct team, makes this poster a true collector's item.
