The Calgary Flames had the most heralded rookie of recent years entering the 1987-88 season - and it wasn't Joe Nieuwendyk. Brett Hull had the pedigree - and the shot - of a superstar, but failed to reach his potential in that rookie campaign. It was an unheralded young forward, coming from the obscurity of U.S. College hockey, that made the biggest waves and took home the Calder trophy. While Hull has since become a star in his own right, Nieuwendyk has maintained a level of goal-scoring excellence matched by few for the last decade.

This poster was published in the standard Starline layout of the late 1980s - border in the team's colours, simple lettering, and a large, crisp photo. Niewendyk's poster was produced almost exclusively for the Canadian market, and has rarely been seen in the U.S.A. Perfect for the wall of any fan!
