After coming to the American League in 1969 from the Houston Astros, Cuban-born Mike Cuellar became the most dominating lefthander in the game for the next six seasons, in which he won more than 20 games three times. He was part of the Baltimore Orioles record-setting starting rotation of 20-game winners.
