He will be remembered forever as a type of surgery. But Tommy John's carrer was certainly worth remembering for his pitching skills. He had a 26-year career that lasted until the late 1980s - in the late 1960's, when this poster was produced, he was one of the most talented, hardest-throwing young pitchers in baseball.

Like all vintage posters, this one looks nice on the web, and incredible in real-life. The litho quality is great, the picture, although posed, is excellent because it is very clear and almost life-sized. There are no distracting graphics like you find on modern posters, and the paper is perfectly preserved.
