Re-live a lifetime of Islanders hockey history! This amazing boxed set delves deep into the NHL archives to bring you ten original game broadcasts of New York Islanders hockey - from the four-straight Stanley Cup victories of 1980-83, to the capping of the Al Arbour era with his 1500th game celebration in 2007. Each of the following games is contained on its own disc, with a 2009 introduction sequence that includes an interview with a key player from that day. Included are the following legendary games:

"Nystrom Starts Dynasty" - 1980 Stanley Cup Finals Game 6, May 24, 1980, Philadelphia Flyers at Islanders, Nassau Coliseum (CBC Television, Broadcasters Jim Robson, Gary Dornhoefer and Dick Irvin): After two periods, the Islanders began the high-fives; but the celebration was premature, and the Flyers sent the game to OT. Cue the heroics - Bob Nystrom scores one of the most famous goals in NHL history, and the dynasty begins! Introduction: interview with Bobby Nystrom.

"#2" - 1981 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 5, May 21, 1981, Minnesota North Stars at Islanders, Nassau Coliseum (CBC Television, Broadcasters Bob Cole, Gary Dornhoefer, Mickey Redmond): Mike Bossy, Bryan Trottier, Billy Smith, Denis Potvin, Clark Gillies, Bob Bourne, Butch Goring, John Tonelli, Duane Sutter, Stefan Persson, and the rest of the squad skate with the Stanley Cup after a dominating home ice victory to cap a second championship in a row. Introductory interview with Clark Gillies.

"The Brink of Disaster" - 1982 Patrick Division Semifinals, Game 5, April 13, 1982, Pittsburgh Penguins at Islanders (WOR-TV, Broadcasters Jiggs McDonals & Ed Westfall): In a long-forgotten scare, the Isles stage a third period comeback, and an Overtime classic from John Tonelli, to survive a shockingly tough series against the heavy underdogs from Pittsburgh. Introductory interview with Nystrom.

1982 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 4, May 16, 1982, Islanders at Vancouver Canucks (CBC Television, Broadcasters Jim Robson, Gary Dornhoefer, Howie Meeker): The Isles wrap up Stanley Cup #3 with a sweep of the bright yellow Canucks. Introductory interview with Clark Gillies.

"Schooling the Kids" - 1983 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 4, May 17, 1983, Edmonton Oilers at Islanders (CBC Television, Broadcasters Bob Cole & Mickey Redmond): The Islanders take Wayne Gretzky and the young, dynamic, talented, but undisciplined Oilers to school, completing a four-game sweep with this dominating victory, capping the four-year dynasty that will live on in the annals of hockey history.

"Morrow Mania" - 1984 Patrick Division Semifinals Game 5, April 10, 1984, New York Rangers at Islanders, Nassau Coliseum (CBC Television, Broadcasters Bob Cole, Dick Irvin, Don Cherry): One of the most exciting New York-New York series in history, this first-round best-of-five went the distance and more, with stay-at-home defenseman Ken Morrow scoring in Overtime to sink his old 1980 Olympic Team coach Herb Brooks and his upstart Rangers.

"Easter Epic" - 1987 Patrick Division Semifinals Game 7, April 18, 1987, Islanders at Washington Capitals, Capital Center, Washington, DC (CBC Television, Broadcasters Bob Cole & Harry Neale): The unforgettable 4-OT classic that began Saturday night, and ended with the players practically collapsing in exhaustion well into Easter Sunday morning after Pat Lafontaine's series-winning slapshot.

"Penguin Roast" - 1993 Patrick Division Finals Game 7 - May 14, 1993, Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins (CBC Television, Broadcasters Chris Cuthbert & Dick Irvin): Capping off one of the biggest playoff upsets in NHL history, the scrappy Isles of Ray Ferraro, Steve Thomas, Benoit Hogue, Pierre Turgeon, Darius Kasparaitas, and Brian Mullen send Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, and the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions home for the summer with a stunning Overtime victory thanks to David Volek's stunning game winner.

"Modern Magic" - 2002 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Game 4, April 24, 2002, Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Islanders, Nassau Coliseum (ESPN2 Television, Broadcasters Dave Strader & Neil Smith):Bringing the magic back to the Coliseum, the Islanders even their first-round series against the Leafs at two, as Shawn Bates scores the winner on a penalty shot late in the third period. Introductory interview with Steve Webb.

Al Arbour's 1,500th Game, November 3, 2007, Pittsburgh Penguins at Islanders (FSN New York, Broadcasters Howie Rose & Billy Jaffe). Enjoy the emotional festivities of a historic and sentimental night, both for its tribute to Al Arbour, and the great hockey game that ended in comeback victory style. Introductory interview with Brendan Witt.

With over 22 hours of historic, original broadcast coverage that you've likely never seen since its original airing back in the day, this is a must for any Islanders or NHL hockey fan!
