How's this for a collector's item? This poster comes from the optimistic year of 1996 in Mets history, when a trio of young stud pitchers landed at once at Shea Stadium, ready to take the National League by storm. With heralded young high-draft-pick stars like Bill Pulsipher, Paul Wilson, and Jason Isringhausen anchoring the starting rotation for the decade ahead, the Mets would be a dynasty! Right! Right? Well, it didn't quite work out that way...but it sure did make for a great poster! Entitled "NYPD" (New York Pitching Department), it features the 1994 first-round pick (Wilson), the up-and-coming lefty (Pulsipher), and rookie sensation of 1995 (Isringhausen), each of whom would be long gone from New York before the Mets' next great season was to occur in 2000. (Wilson and Pulsipher ended up scratching out journeymen careers, but Isringhausen did eventually emerge as one of baseball's best closers of the 2000's!) A fantastic theme poster of an era that wasn't meant to be. Don't miss your chance at this one; limited quantity remains in our warehouse.
