Considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in the country, Rice-Eccles Stadium opened on September 12, 1998, employs state-of-the-art technology and served as the main stadium for the 2002 Winter Olympics. The Utes football program has received national attention in recent years for winning bowl games in 2005 and again in 2009 and were undefeated in both of those regular seasons. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, U of U was established in 1850 and is Utah's oldest institution of higher education.
