They earned the franchises first Stanley Cup Playoff berth when they defeated the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL playoffs. The Sharks best known tradition is their pre-game entrance theme. The players come out of the locker room tunnel through a 17-foot open shark mouth with fog pouring out and eyes flashing red.
