Washington State University Martin StadiumThis panorama, taken by Robert Pettit, spotlights the Washington State Cougars playing their season home opener in the recently remodeled Martin Stadium. The Cougars play home games on campus at Martin Stadium; the site dates back to 1892 when it was called Soldier Field, and then Rogers Field in 1902, and finally named Martin Stadium in 1972. The $65 million of renovations to the south side of the Stadium includes a new press box with club seats, loge boxes, luxury suites and a club room. Washington State University, founded in 1890, is a proud member of the Pac-12 Conference. Today, it's a nationally recognized research university, with four in-state campus locations as well as an internet-based, global campus.
