Indianapolis Motor Speedway
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, originally built as an automobile testing facility, is one of the most storied racing facilities in the world. The Indianapolis 500 Mile Race has been one of America's great sporting traditions since 1911. The Indy 500, which is part of the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series, takes place each Memorial Day weekend and is the largest attended single-day sporting event in the world. The Speedway also hosts the annual Allstate 400 at the Brickyard and the Indianapolis MotoGP Motorcycle Race. This aerial panorama was photographed by James Blakeway.
