Lance Armstrong, Tour de France / 2003, Champion
Stage 15, Bagnéres-de-Bigorre - Luz-Ardiden. Lance Armstrong made his race-winning attack of the 2003 Tour de France at Luz-Ardiden.

It was the signature stage of the 2003 Tour de France, full of incredible racing, dramatic moments, and, ultimately, a Lance Armstrong victory. Iban Mayo charged ahead; only Lance and Jan Ullrich could respond to the challenge. Lance was clipped by a spectator and fell; Ullrich obeyed the unwritten rule and paused for Lance to recover. Lance let his feet slip; he recovered again and used his frustration as motivation to surge far ahead of Ullrich. In the end, the 52-second victory at Luz-Ardiden provided the cushion he needed to cruise on to his fifth straight Tour victory!

From the incredible Graham Watson collection, this amazing poster perfectly captures the punishing nature of the 2003 Tour de France that, in the end, further cemented the legend of the great Lance Armstrong. The agony was worth it, and Lance joined Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain in the five-time-champion club. A spectacular addition to the wall of any fan, worthy of a nice frame and a prominent place on the wall of home or office!
